We collect as little as we can, keep it for as short as we can, and never sell it. The details are below.

Who we are
Yalin is an independent design and front-end practice based in Lisbon, Portugal. This policy explains what happens to the information you share when you visit this site or write to us.
If anything here is unclear, write to the address at the end of this page and you will get a plain answer from a person.

What we collect
When you send the contact form we receive your name, your email address and the message you wrote. Nothing else is required, and nothing is collected silently from the form.
When you browse the site, the hosting provider records standard technical data such as the page requested, the time of the request and an anonymised version of your browser and device.

How we use it
Messages are used only to reply to you and, if we work together, to run the project. We never add you to a mailing list, and we never sell, rent or trade your details.
Technical data is used in aggregate to keep the site fast and working, for example to see which pages are read and where links break.

Cookies and analytics
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Visitor statistics are counted without cookies and without building a profile of you across other sites.
If a future change needs cookies, this page will be updated first and you will be asked before anything is stored on your device.

Third parties
The site is hosted on Framer, which processes technical request data on our behalf. Form messages are delivered to our studio inbox through the same platform.
Links to social profiles take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies. We do not embed their trackers on this site.

How long we keep it
Messages that do not lead to a project are deleted within twelve months. Project correspondence is kept for as long as the law requires us to keep business records, and no longer.

Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also object to how it is used or ask for a copy to take elsewhere.
If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
