Kiln Studio
A slow, tactile online shop for a ceramics studio, with each batch released like an edition.

The brief
Kiln is a two-person ceramics studio that sells in small batches. Their old shop treated each mug like a stock item; their customers treated each release like an event.
The work
The new shop is organised by firing, not by product type. Each batch gets an edition page with the glaze notes, the kiln temperature and a countdown to the release date.
Slow on purpose
There are no pop-ups, no discount banners and no infinite scroll. Product photos are shot on the same table in the same light, so the pieces can be compared honestly.
Outcome
Releases now sell through in hours instead of weeks, and the studio spends its time at the wheel instead of in the inbox.
