Sable is a bank for freelancers. Its users are paid irregularly, invoice in three currencies and need to know what is actually theirs after tax.

The work

We redesigned onboarding and the daily view around one number: what you can spend today. Tax, savings and upcoming bills are set aside automatically and shown as calm, labelled pots.

Research first

Twenty interviews with freelancers shaped the flows. The most requested feature was not a chart; it was a clear answer to whether a client had paid.

Outcome

Onboarding now takes minutes instead of days, and support questions about tax pots dropped sharply after launch.
